Hant’s Harbour Lighthouse

A wooden structure with an electrically powered light. Established in 1881, the present light gives off 10 flashes per minute. Now operated by the Coast Guard.


Willow Tree Heritage Society

Willow Tree Heritage Society Inc. operates the Heritage Museum, the Willow Tree Cemetery, and the Registered Historical Fishing Premises in the town of Hant’s Harbour. 


Willow Tree Stage Head Fishing Premises

The Fishing Premises building was designated as a Registered Heritage Structure by the Heritage Foundation in March 1999, and represents a type of building that is quickly fading from the Newfoundland landscape.


Newfoundland’s First Snow Crab Plant

The town’s history is deeply rooted in Newfoundland’s fishing tradition and was home to P. Janes and Sons. The company pioneered the province’s first snow crab business which began processing in 1967. It operated for 85 years until it was sold in 2013.
